Kristin Fisher joined CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent team in July of 2021. In her role as Correspondent for Defence and Space at CNN, she has to cover everything ranging from NASA and its newly created Space Force up until commercial space firms, as well as the advent and growth of space tourism. Kristin is the daughter of two NASA astronauts. Kristin has grown up in the world of space and has covered Trump and Biden Administration space policies for FOX News as White House Correspondent. Kristin also reported on impeachment hearings for President Trump, the 2020 Presidential campaign and the efforts of two administrations to combat the Coronavirus pandemic. Former president Donald Trump traveled to Afghanistan in a trip that was highly restricted. Kristin has worked in the newsrooms of local markets like Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Washington, D.C. for more than a decade prior to being hired by the network. She won one Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. for her work as the CBS station's reporter who was a one-man band. Kristin as a skilled filmmaker, founded Field Mouse Films, a company that specializes in documentary-style films for clients such as Uber as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin has a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from Boston University. She and her husband reside and their two children in Washington, D.C., and has a three-year old daughter.
